Apple Hill and My Twitter Pal

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Its that time of year! Leaves are changing color, the cold is sneaking in and Halloween is around the corner. Fall to me means, Its time to go to Apple Hill! Apple Hill is a great time for me and the family. We get our apples,Pumpkins and differnt condiments that they sale there.
This year we visited 3 differnt farms, High Hill Ranch, Boa Vista Orchards & Ables Acres. They all have great things to offer with differnt vendors.

High Hill Ranch is the first ranch we come upon! We usually do some shopping and buy our carmel apples,Divinity & Fudge and get a small headstart on Christmas shopping.

We watch the ducks swim in the pond and the people fishing for fish that never seem to be caught. Our next stop is Boa Vista Orchards,
they have a cider press there. Vendors and the fruit and veggie stands. This is where we usually buy all our apples and some of our pumpkins. I bought 40 pounds of Apples, Butternut Squash, Little Pumpkins, Freshed Pressed Apple Cider, Vadiallia onion Creamy ranch dressing, Apple Cider Vinegar, Pears & Honey. Our next stop was to Able's Acres. I always go there for their Terriyaki Sauce, Apple Sugar Doughnuts & vendors. They also have a hay maze, horse rides and many wood cutouts to take your pictures with.

We had a great day! We got our pictures taken in the cutouts.

Looked at Pumpkins!

More Pumpkins!

The Apple Orchard walk was gourgeous!

I also met a friend of mine from Twitter in Apple Hill. I am the short one & Carrie (AKA @mamapigeon on twitter) is the tall one, lol. She was great! I cant wait to get with her again and hang out!

Here's some of what I brought Home!

40 pounds of apples! Lots of recipes using them coming soon!

I even bought my husband a book! He loves History!

This is just a fun picture! My Lil one Kyla bought it at Apple Hill, she wanted it cause it looked like a butt, lol. Kids say the darndest things!

As you can see, by the end of the day Miss Kyla was exhausted!

  1. looks like a lot of fun! For everything there is a season... Don't you just love all those pumpkins. I have something of a squash obsession. I have really held myself back this year. You look like you did really well.

  2. Such a selection of caramel apples! I'd have a hard time choosing. Ha, ha. No, I wouldn't! The one with the chocolate is mine.
