Kentucky Wonder Beans, Dragon Tounge Beans, Yellow Wax Beans & Bacon...Is there anything better?

This growing season has been a great one for beans. We are picking beans everyday. I have been mixing the beans and coming up with differnt recipes for eating.

These are Dragon Tounge beans! This is the first time I have grown them and they are so delicous! I will be growing them again!

Here I have Dragon Tounge, Kentucky Wonder and Yellow Wax Beans all mixed together to make my favorite side dish.

We call this dish Bacon and Green Beans!

1 pound of Beans Cut into 1 inch pieces
4 strips of Bacon chopped up
1/4 cup of chopped Red Onion
Throw them in your pot and cover with water.
1 tablespoon cracked Black Pepper
I boil for about 5 to 7  minutes keeping some crunch to the beans.

Im hoping to have enough to make Dilly Beans. But, the way we keep eating them it may not happen.

How do you cook your green beans?
What kind of beans are you growing?

Enjoy!

The Lettuce is growing nicely!

Swiss Chard is looking nice! Harvested some for a salad, super yummy!

Red Onion growing very well.

Fennyl, growing nicely from what went to seed over the summer!

Bok Choy, It doesnt look so good! But the flowers are pretty!

Celery Is bright green and looking nice! Cant wait to harvest the celery and dry the leaves for soups.

Im not sure what these are, but they pop up everywhere in the winter months throughout my yard. Very pretty though.
